Several projects in our lab are integrated to conduct long-term research towards new findings on the systematics of the whitefly Bemisia tabaci species complex and on the tripartite interactions between whiteflies, begomoviruses and plants. The research is being conducted at the molecular, mechanistic and ecological levels. The Postdoctoral Associates are expected to be responsible for various sub-projects within these projects and to provide supervisions to postgraduate students in the laboratory. Currently we have two positions available. The positions receive support from the research projects of this lab as well as the Postdoc Programme of Zhejiang University. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in entomology, plant pathology, molecular biology, or related fields, from an internationally recognized university. Experience with transcriptome analysis, stable transformation of plants, and gene construct design is highly desirable, but not required. Applicants should be self-motivated, creative, enthusiastic, and be willing to contribute intellectually in a team environment. Excellent communication skills are required.
