Whiteflies of the Bemisia tabaci complex and begomoviruses establish a reciprocal relationship via their shared host plants. The suppression of plant defense by begomovirus infection is beneficial to the whitefly vectors, and this in turn may contribute to the spread of the plant viruses. My research focuses on exploring the molecular mechanisms of plant-mediated interactions between various cryptic species of the B. tabaci complex and begomoviruses.

I obtained my BSc degree in Plant Protection from Shandong Agricultural University in 2016.
