My studies focus on the diversity, genetic differentiation, and distribution of bacterial symbionts in different members of the whitefly Bemisia tabaci cryptic species complex. I will explore new technologies to investigate the diversity of endosymbiotic community and try to find out the localization of various symbionts in the whitefly hosts using fluorescence in situ hybridization. I anticipate to discover new symbionts and define the distribution of new symbionts by using a range of techniques including fluorescence in situ hybridization and transmission electron microscope.

I obtained my BSc degree in Plant Protection from Zhejiang University in 2015.
