My studies focus on the diversity, genetic differentiation and distribution of bacterial symbionts in members of the whitefly, Bemisia tabaci species complex. I investigate the diversity of endosymbiotic community and try to find out the localization of various symbionts in the whitefly hosts using fluorescence in situ hybridization. The aim of my studies is to discover new symbionts, define their distribution using fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) and transmission electron microscope (TEM) and at last explore their functions in the hosts.

I obtained my BSc degree in Plant Protection from Zhejiang University in 2015.
