The Begomoviruses are single-stranded DNA viruses and are transmitted nearly exclusively by the whitefly Bemisia tabaci in a persistent, circulative manner. During transmission, begomoviruses have complex relationships with their vectors. I focus on the roles of programmed cell death participating in the interactions of begomoviruses and their vectors. Currently, I am analyzing the genes related to autophagy and apoptosis in the whitefly B. tabaci.

I obtained my BSc degree in Plant Protection from Jilin University in 2016.
