The evolution of endosymbionts to adapt to their host whiteflies Bemisia tabaci and interactions between endosymbionts and whiteflies is intriguing. Currently, I focus on comparative genomics of endosymbionts among different putative species of the whitefly species complex that share ecological niches. In this way, I may find how closely related hosts shape the endosymbionts differently.
