Plant-mediated interactions between whiteflies and begomoviruses exert important influences on the abundance of the whitefly vectors and epidemiology of the viruses. My study focuses on tripartite interactions between whitefly, begomovirus and plants. We aim to explore the mutualism between whitefly and begomovirus as well as the mechanisms underlied. Previously, I was involved in studying the bacterial symbionts of the whitefly Bemisia tabaci complex, and the interactions between whiteflies and symbiotic bacteria.

I obtained my BSc degree in Plant Protection from China Agricultural University in 2016.
