Development and implementation of effective integrated pest management (IPM) systems can reduce insecticide input and promote production efficiency and products safely. What can we do to enhance naturally occurring biological control in the field? How can we develop IPM systems that are acceptable to farmers? How can we help the extension service and framers to implement IPM systems in practice?

With the above questions in mind, we have been collaborating with extension officers and farmers in conducting field experiments, developing practical guidelines, and doing training courses/workshops. Over the years, our lab has played significant roles in the development and implementation of integrated pest management in brassica vegetable crops and tomatoes in many regions of vegetable production in China.
